Small pieces of fabric rolled into scroll like pages and secured using rusted wire create a certain curiosity as to what may be written inside. In addition, the deer antlers are from nature shedding the old in order for new growth. The wood is weathered and has long survived the elements of nature while all of these things are preserved with encaustic wax and fused together with intense fire. The piece is framed in a beautiful hand crafted frame with natural edges.
